Ampem Darkoa initially fell behind after 14 minutes when Najat Badri scored for AS FAR. However, they quickly settled and began to dominate the game. Despite creating several chances, they couldn’t find an equaliser before halftime.
In the second half, Ampem Darkoa continued their determined play, with Comfort Yeboah eventually breaking AS FAR’s resistance by scoring the equaliser in the 57th minute.
After securing the lead, Ampem Darkoa managed the game effectively, securing a victory in their first match in Group B. Their next game is against Malian side AS Mande, and they will conclude their group stage campaign against Equatorial Guinea’s Huracanes.
Ampem Darkoa are aiming for a quadruple after winning the Women’s Premier League and FA Cup trophies in Ghana and the WAFU Zone B tournament.
